World Kindness Day at Amplify Consulting

Celebrated annually on November 13, World Kindness Day is a global observance dedicated to promoting and highlighting the importance of empathy, compassion, and the simple yet powerful act of being kind. At Amplify Consulting, we believe that meaningful change can happen in both big and small ways. Rather than simply acknowledging this day, our team decided to take action, starting right here in our own community.

Last month, four of our team members volunteered at the Kamloops Food Bank, where they spent their afternoon sorting and handing out food to individuals and families in need. The experience was both fulfilling and eye-opening, encouraging us to step out of our usual routines and find ways to make someone else’s day a little brighter – all while we spent time together as a team. Our time at the Food Bank also gave us the opportunity to connect with other volunteers and community members, each driven by a shared goal of helping others. This was a powerful and inspiring reminder of how collective action can help amplify positive change.

Volunteering reminded us that small gestures, from a smile or a warm hello, to listening attentively and sharing useful information with others, can make a lasting impact. Although they may seem slight, these moments of connection create a ripple effect, fostering kindness, compassion, and a stronger sense of belonging within our community.  

On this World Kindness Day, we encourage you to take a moment to reflect on the power each of us has to make a difference in our communities and beyond. Whether that is through volunteering, donating, offering support to a colleague or friend, or simply showing appreciation to those around you, our small acts of kindness can add up to something truly transformative.
