Client Spotlight: Plato Island Resort – Happy and on Holiday!
Updated: Oct 6
The refresh of Plato Island Resort & Marina brand and website was fully a team effort including our Amplify team, Liam of Kiwi Man Creative, Sandra of Signet Studio, and the amazing Webster family, and it came together beautifully!
Located on the south shore of Quesnel Lake in B.C.’s Cariboo region, Plato Island Resort & Marina is a special place. It offers guests a chance to slow down, get outside, connect with family and friends, and experience an incredible part of British Columbia.
The Webster family already knew what made Plato Island special. Our job was to help them amplify the story.
Together, we embarked on a refresh that included evolving the Plato Island Resort & Marina brand and logo, developing new branded materials including brochures and signage, refreshing the website, and creating a video that captures the experience of the resort and the people behind it.

While the finished products are what people see, there is a lot that happens behind the scenes to get there. These projects require planning, conversations, creative thinking, coordination, feedback, photography and video, writing, design, web development, and plenty of back and forth – phew! And most importantly: collaboration.
And that is where a great client relationship makes all the difference.
Jean, Joe, and Ryan Webster brought enthusiasm, ideas, energy, and a genuine love for Plato Island Resort & Marina to every part of the process. They were willing to jump in, try things, provide feedback, and have some fun along the way.
For our team at Amplify, being a good collaborator means getting to know our clients and understanding what they are trying to accomplish before we start creating. We don't want to impose our idea of what a business or organization should look or sound like. We want to help uncover what is already there and find the best way to share it with others.
For Plato Island Resort & Marina, that meant creating a brand and online presence that feels like the place itself: natural, welcoming, relaxed, and distinctly Cariboo.

The refreshed website now gives those considering booking a much stronger sense of the experience including the lakefront accommodation, marina, and the places they can fish, paddle, hike, chill on the beach, or simply spend time. The new video adds another layer, helping people see and feel the experience in a way words and photographs alone cannot.
We are proud of what we created together, but we're equally appreciative of the process that got us there.
Good communications work should feel collaborative. It should involve listening, challenging ideas, solving problems, trying things, and bringing different skills and perspectives together around a shared goal.
"The process of rebranding Plato Island Resort and Marina was completed by the Amplify team in the fall of 2025. Their professionalism and understanding of all levels of social media made the journey simple and enjoyable. The impact of their work was immediately felt with in the daily operation of the resort and no doubt long into the future,” shared Joe Webster.
Thank you to the Webster family for trusting our team and for being such enthusiastic partners throughout the process.
While it was a lot of work, it was also a lot of fun, and those tend to be some of the most rewarding projects.
