Micro-Moments That Mattered: Team Reflections in Mid-Year

We’re officially past the halfway mark of 2025, and what a journey it’s been. At Amplify, we often talk about the power of intentional communication and meaningful collaboration. But sometimes, it’s the smallest moments that remind us why we do what we do.

The casual check-ins. The brainstorms that spark big ideas. The shared laughter during meetings. The little nudges of support that help us keep going. These micro-moments often go unnoticed, but they are the quiet drivers of trust, growth, and momentum.

As we reflect on the first six months of the year, we asked the team to share a moment, project, or insight that stood out to them, a moment that mattered. Here’s what they shared:

“I had the opportunity to take three weeks off this summer, which has not happened for me for over a decade. This was a big win, and our incredible team made it, so we didn't miss a beat for our clients and the important impact they are seeking to make through strategic communications and engagement.

While on my trip - which was to the Netherlands where my family originates from - I was able to reconnect with the Dutch language and have conversations with people I otherwise would have not been able to speak to. The history of World War II really came alive to me in the country, and I was inspired by the stories of individuals whose actions, both small and large, made lives better for their friends, families, neighbours, and communities. It's something I aspire to do every day, and I was blessed with so many examples of this selfless posture.”

Whether it was a brainstorm that sparked something big or just a quick check-in that made someone feel supported, these are the moments that have shaped how we show up for each other, for our clients, and for the work we love.

One of the highlights for me? Our team session with The Birkman Method. It gave us a deeper look into how we work, what motivates us, and how to better understand each other. It’s helped us lean into our strengths and make space for different perspectives, and that’s made our team even stronger. It really is the little things that make the biggest difference, and I’m so proud of what we’ve built together so far this year.”
