As a remote-working team, in-person gatherings and virtual meetings hold a special place in our hearts. These moments allow us to learn more about one another, share laughter, and discover new ways to support each other. Whether it’s a quick call to celebrate personal wins or brainstorm project ideas, our time together provides a steady foundation for the work we do.
Foram, one of our Communications Coordinators, looks back on our last team training with fondness, having gained new insights about herself - and all of us!
“During our first team activity at the Amplify gathering, we began playfully tossing a ball around on the lawn. As the challenge grew with instructions to find faster ways to pass the ball, it quickly shifted from fun to problem-solving. What stood out to me was how differently everyone responded to the same situation, yet how team-driven the process became. We shared ideas, tested them out, laughed and supported one another’s suggestions until we found solutions together. Since it was my first time meeting the team, it gave me such a unique impression of how we all work differently, but collectively stronger and result-focused. It reminded me that while we all work differently, we're so wonderful together.”
Similarly, Aleece, Amplify’s CEO, appreciated the Birkman Assessment at our last gathering, which gave her deeper insight into how she can best support the team.
“Our team all works remotely, but we work to be intentional about connecting with one another on a consistent basis. At our last team get-together, we were all in person and did the Birkman Assessment. One of the things I learned about myself is that I am quick to take charge or lead, and that can often not leave space for others to shine, ask questions, or take the lead. By stepping back and asking more questions, I learn so much more about our team - what they love, what they're worried about, what fills their cup - to seek to be a colleague they want to collaborate with to help amplify the impact of our clients. Often, I find our connections hold a lot of laughter too, which just makes our work lives that much more fun and engaging. Go A-Team!"

For Amy, our Administration and Research Coordinator, the powerful sense of unity and shared purpose of our team shines through whenever we come together – no matter when or where that is!
“The fundamental takeaway that comes through most strongly whenever we meet as a team is that we are a team. Everyone shows up with ideas, passion, enthusiasm, patience, and is committed to improving customer service. Although we each bring different pieces to the communications puzzle, we can thrive as individuals while contributing to the collective, thanks to clear leadership and a lack of political hierarchy.”
For Valeria, one of our Communications Coordinators, the friendly environment full of laughter and constant support makes every team meeting something to look forward to.
“Every time we get together, during our weekly team meetings online, at a client’s event, or during our in-person gatherings, one thing I always appreciate is how much fun we have. You can spot our laughter from a mile away! To me, those shared laughs are a sign that we’re not just a cohesive team that values, respects, and understands one another, but also a group that genuinely enjoys the work we do.”
Kimberlee, Amplify’s Project Manager, further reflects on the consistency, camaraderie, and commitment that define our work.
“As we prepare to welcome a new team member to Amplify Consulting, I’ve been reflecting on how much we have and continue to accomplish together—and how we consistently rally to deliver projects on time, on budget, and with a focus on exceeding our clients’ expectations.
Our “Circle Square” meetings (an inside joke that stuck) are a great reminder of what makes our team special. Each time we meet, we share work wins, personal highlights, or even challenges. These moments build connection, trust, and perspective—and I walk away each time having learned something new about the people I work with.
To the Amplify team: thank you for your energy, dedication, and support. You’re an incredible group to collaborate with, and I’m proud of what we continue to build together.”
As each of us reflected on these shared experiences, it became clear just how much these moments together help shape our connection and growth - both as individuals and as a team.
