Administrative Assistant

Position: Administrative Assistant

20 hours/week

As Amplify Consulting Inc. grows, we are looking for an all-star Administrative Assistant who will help bring a lot of order to a little bit of chaos. This role is a newer one for our company and will be essential to help provide both administrative support to our team and exceptional customer service and appreciation for our clients. The successful candidate will love organization, systems, and processes, have an eagle eye for detail, and be an effective communicator. The work schedule is flexible, and work is primarily from home, with some in-person team meetings or client visits.


Job Type: Part-time to start with the potential to move into full-time employment.
 

Desired Skills and Experience 

Qualifications 

  • Excellent verbal and written skills are a must 

  • Prior working experience may be an asset (but not required)

  • Quick learner who is willing to change directions quickly when needed

  • Effective communicator and problem-solver 

  • Attention to detail is key (you will catch the two spelling errors in this job posting)

  • Technical skills to build Power Poin Presentations and reports 

  • Skilled at taking notes at meetings and setting out timelines for next steps

  • Great at following up on tasks from start to completion

 

Responsibilities 

  • Schedule an organize meetings

  • First point of contact for customer inquiries

  • Maintain great communication with co-workers and clients

  • Research as required for projects

  • Obtain quotes from vendors for Amplify projects

  • Build and fine tune organizational procedures and other administrative duties  

  • Identify and improve Amplify’s systems and processes 

  • Plan meetings and events, including travel arrangements 

  • Edit and proofread reports, documents, press releases and other communications pieces  

  • Other responsibilities as the job role grows and evolves  

 

Working conditions:

Flexible to work from anywhere, primarily your own home office. Some travel may be required for in-person team or client meetings/events. The successful candidate preferably lives within the Kamloops, B.C. region.

 

Physical requirements:

This position is set primarily in a home office setting with minimal lifting and carting of materials for external events.
